Adventures: Stop #1!

First off, thank you so much for visiting our page! We have many great things to come, and we hope you stay for the ride!

Now, on to Adventure #1: St. Augustine, FL!
"Look! They're growing sunflowers too!"

Way back in January of 2011, we met in what we would call home for 4 months at Flagler College. To escape boredom during the weekends, we would walk around St. Augustine. Even though we don't go to Flagler College anymore, we fell in love with the city and visit whenever we can! We haven't been back in a while and decided that while we're on vacation we would go back up there. Our first stop was the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum.

"We have to climb that?!"

We paid $9.50 per person to walk around the grounds (this includes the lighthouse, lighthouse master's house, and everywhere else that wasn't restricted). There are different prices for children and there are different packages that include a guided tour and other goodies! Anyhow, we walked around and looked at the gardens they have growing and then we tackled the lighthouse.

"Just keep looking up!"

Each flight got steeper and steeper but we eventually made it to the top! And what a view of St. Augustine that was!

"You can see Flagler from here."
"What a view!"

The breeze was lovely, so we decided to stay up there for a while and admire the view.
"We made it to the top!"

After climbing down the lighthouse and walking around the museum part for a little while, we decided to get lunch. Our favorite place to go while at Flagler was The Village Inn! Too bad it wasn't wednesday, because we would have gotten FREE PIE! Besides the amazing pie, we had some amazing food and concluded with a slice of Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, which was delish!
"This is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. I'm not even kidding."

After lunch we walked down St. George street and browsed through the little shops that we loved to go in. All in all, it was a great day! A little hot, but it's summer in Florida so you just can't escape the heat! If you haven't visited St. Augustine and love quaint little cities with lots of history, we definitely recommend you go! You will have a blast!

Love,
The Weird Sisters, Amber and Lacey
