Recipes we love: Coleslaw and Pizza Pillows!

We love making homemade meals and are always trying out new things. Tonight we decided to make one of our favorites along with something we've wanted to try for a long time.

Side dish: Coleslaw!
The first thing you need to do is gather all of your ingredients, bowls, and utensils that you need!

What you need:
Bag of coleslaw mix (or you could cut up the cabbage and carrots yourself, which ever you prefer)
• 3/4 c. Mayo
• 1 Tbs. Apple Cider Vinegar (add more if you like)
• 3 Tbs. Sugar
• Celery seed (we used Celery salt because that's all we had!)
• Salt
• Pepper
• Large Mixing Bowl
• Large slotted spoon
• Whisk

Combine mayo and vinegar in bowl first with a whisk.

Add to this mixture, celery salt, sugar, and salt/pepper to taste.

To this you add your coleslaw mix. At first it may not look like you have enough to coat everything, but the acid in the vinegar helps breakdown the cabbage a tiny bit. Cover with plastic wrap and stick it in the fridge for about half an hour or until fairly cold. Then serve!

Main dish: Sausage Pizza Pillows!

What you need:
• 1 roll of flaky Grands biscuits
• 1 Package of Mozzarella cheese
• 1 roll of mild pork sausage or your favorite sausage crumbles
• Olive oil (we used olive oil spray)
• garlic salt
• Italian seasoning

FIRST: PRE-HEAT THE OVEN TO 425 degrees!

Take a biscuit and stretch it out until it's thin but not too thin. You don't want to be able to see through it but you want it thin enough so that you can wrap it into a ball.

Lay flattened biscuit on cutting board. Put on Mozzarella (you can put as much as you like or as little).

After the cheese, put on the sausage crumbles (you can use whatever kind of meat you like, you could even use pepperoni).

After you have all of the topping that you want on the biscuit, take the sides and fold them up.

Pinch the folds together and mold into a ball.
On top of the ball, put garlic and Italian seasoning.

Put in the oven for 14-18 minutes. If the balls seem to be getting too golden too fast, cover them with tin foil!

Here is the finished product!!!
You can eat them however you like! We had some marinara sauce in the fridge that we dipped them in, and it was SO GOOD!

We really love cooking and trying out new meals. If you have any questions about how we made these two items, shoot us an email at theweirdsisters.info@gmail.com or post a comment on our Facebook page!! Hope this inspired you to cook instead of going out to eat, because let's face it, there's really nothing better than a home cooked meal!

Love,
The Weird Sisters, Amber and Lacey
